Travelling to the Sheffield Arena by tram.

The Arena / Don Valley tramstop is linked to the Sheffield Arena by it’s own footpath and it is only a two minute walk. Trams travel to the Arena away from road traffic giving a fast, smooth, and reliable way to arrive at your event. A conductor is on every tram so there is no need to buy a ticket before you board.

 

Meadowhall Interchange to Sheffield Arena

 

  • Trams every 10 minutes at peak times and 20 minutes off peak
  • Every tram from Meadowhall goes via the Sheffield Arena
  • Leave the tram at the Arena/ Don Valley tramstop
  • Journey time 6 minutes

Sheffield Midland Train station (City Centre) to Sheffield Arena

 

  • Trams every 10 minutes at peak times and 20 minutes off peak
  • The tramstop is at the rear of the station (follow the tram signs from the central footbridge)
  • Board any tram from the tram platform nearest the station. Leave this tram at the next tramstop (Fitzalan Square/Ponds Forge)then cross to the opposite platform.
  • From Fitzalan Square board a tram showing Meadowhall as the destination
  • Leave the tram at the Arena/ Don Valley tramstop

 

Journey time around 20 -30 minutes (depending on time of day, please use the journey planner for more accurate timings).

If part of your journey needs to be by car, why not Park & Ride? Most trams to the Arena travel away from local roads, bypassing traffic.

 

 

Meadowhall P&R

Situated next to Meadowhall Interchange to the North of the Meadowhall shopping centre this site has great access from Junction 34 of the M1 and Parking is Free!

Nunnery Square (Sheffield Parkway)

This site is ideal for the Sheffield Arena and is accessible from Junction 33 of the M1. The car park is secure and It is only a 5 minute tram ride from the Arena. Trams are every 10 minutes at peak times and 20 minutes off peak.

Tickets include car parking and unlimited tram travel for the driver on the day of purchase with some group tickets also available.

Middlewood and Halfway P&R sites also offer secure car parking at easily accessible locations outside of the City Centre combined with a regular tram service to take you hassle free to your destination.
