An amended timetable will be in operation with effect from Monday 3rd September 2007. This is to allow for the extra time the diversion around Worral takes and will typically add 10 minutes to the time allowed to complete the journey.

The road is expected to be closed for many months so we have no alternative but to follow an alternative route.

The diversion is as follows: (Towards Stocksbridge)

Middlewood Road North

Left on to Stockarth Lane,

Right on to Haggerstones Lane,

Right on to Church Street,

Left on to Langsett Road South and then as normal route.

Passengers requiring Birch House Avenue can board the Middlewood bound bus at Bridge Hill/Orchard Street and the bus will drop off at Langsett Road South / Forge Hill.

For the return journey from Stocksbridge, the bus will run around the one way system at Oughtibridge picking up at Langsett Road South/Forge Hill as a replacement stop for Birch House Avenue.

PLEASE NOTE: THE BUS IS NOT ALLOWED TO PICK UP OR SET DOWN AT ANY STOP ALONG THE ROUTE OF THE DIVERSION.

Middlewood Road/Stockarth Lane

After an emergency request was made to the traffic commisioners, we have been granted permission, from Wednesday 11 July 2007, to recognise the stop at the junction of Middlewood Road North/Stockarth Lane. Passengers will now be allowed to board and alight at this location.
