Sheftival is the city’s biggest ever festival of sport and culture, timed to celebrate our own Jess Ennis's Olympic final. It takes place on 4-5th August at Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield, where they expect to welcome 50,000 people from all over South Yorkshire to join in the celebrations.
At Sheftival venues managed by Sheffield International Venues will host a variety of free community sporting events and Sheftival Live, a free Olympic viewing area in Don Valley Stadium and the English Institute Of Sport Sheffield, starting one day earlier on Friday 3rd August. Everything from rugby league and judo, to aerial extreme and zumba, to boxing and futsal will be taking place for all to get involved in.
Sheftival will be staging live bands, Sheffield’s leading music clubs, and loads of other things to enjoy including Devonshire Markets, a real ale trail, crafts, Jamaican jerk barbeque, carnival parade and free ice skating in iceSheffield.
Supertram’s Arena/Don Valley Stadium tram stop is right next to the Sheftival venue and provides a regular, fast, reliable and good value for money way of getting to and from Sheftival. As the trams to Don Valley operates on their own reserved tracks they don’t get stuck in traffic!
Our Yellow route runs direct to Sheftival from Meadowhall Interchange, Sheffield City Centre, Hillsborough and Middlewood. Our Blue and Purple routes provide connections from Halfway, Birley, Herdings, Gleadless, Manor Top, Sheffield railway station and Malin Bridge.
Park & Ride facilities are available at Meadowhall, Nunnery Square, Middlewood, Malin Bridge and Halfway.
