After Dark 2012

The event was established in 1996 and now offers Live Music on the Real Radio Stage (past acts include Miss Frank, Girls Aloud, Simon Webb, Blazin Squad, Matt Willis & Wet Wet Wet), funfair, bonfire, food stalls, bar (at Ice Sheffield overlooking the event), fire spinners & a massive fireworks display set to music.

The event is staged at the purpose built Don Valley Grass Bowl, which backs on to Stagecoach Supertram’s Arena/Don Valley Stadium tram stop, which offers an easy way to get to the event. The trams run on dedicated railway tracks and are able to fly past the traffic!

Don Valley Bowl is on the Yellow tram route, which runs from Middlewood via Hillsborough and Sheffield City Centre to Meadowhall. The scheduled service runs every 10 minutes up until 7pm and every 20 minutes after, however we’ll be laying on extra After Dark shuttle trams between Sheffield City Centre and Don Valley Bowl to ensure everyone gets there and back easily and extra staff will be out selling tickets and giving travel advice. Connections via the City Centre are also available for those along our Blue and Purple tram routes from Halfway, Herdings Park and Malin Bridge.

Our Dayrider tickets are great value at £3.90, offering a days unlimited tram travel, these are also valid on Stagecoach buses within Sheffield, Dronfield, Eckington and Killamarsh.

If you are arriving in Sheffield by car why not avoid traffic congestion around the venue by using our park & ride facilities. Car parking is available at Meadowhall Interchange (M1 Junction 34), Nunnery Square (Sheffield Parkway) and Middlewood. More information about Park & Ride, which is offered in partnership with Travel South Yorkshire, can be found at www.travelsouthyorkshire.com.
