Changes to the use and acceptance of Mobility Scooters on Trams
There are currently no legal requirements for Supertram to carry mobility scooters and they have only been allowed at our discretion.
The number and size of scooters has increased significantly over recent years and this has now become a problem. We are currently in the process of carrying out a consultation on this issue but there will be changes in the near future. Please note that wheelchairs and motorised wheelchairs are exempt from this scheme.
